The engine is a 408 cubic inch small block Chevy with a Crankshaft Specialist 3.75 inch stroke crank, Childs&Albert 6 inch steel rods, 10.8 to 1 Venolia pistons, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, 1 7/8 Stahl headers and Sig Erson cam. The carburetor is a Holley 830 annular discharge unit. Heads were Brownfield 220 cc (now AFR). The oiling system was comprised of a Peterson Dry Sump Pump system. Vertex magneto supplied the ignition voltage. The nitrous system shown here is a NOS fogger system that was soon replaced with a Top Gun stage V plate.
